It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jean (Iverson) Sonnenberg of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Iverson (Janice) and BernaDene Iverson (Montgomery); her sisters, Linda Hoverson and Vicky Sauerwein; her niece Suzanne Hoverson; and her nephew Josh Iverson.
She is survived by: her husband Alan Sonnenberg; her children, Mary Jo Richards (John) of Grand Forks and Mark Sonnenberg (Carissa) of Grand Forks; her siblings, Rick Iverson of New Rockford, ND and Jeannie Strande of Grand Forks; her stepsiblings, Craig McEnelly and Deanne Gifford; and her grandchildren, Ariana, Shaley, Justin, Alexis and Avery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Altru Cancer Center or HRRV. **Due to COVID-19 concerns, masks and social distancing are required during the visitation and service.
