It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alona Marie Harper of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, who passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Nikle and Jeanette Nikle (Varnson); and her husband Morall Bruce. She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberlie Ackerland (Tom) and Kristina Black (Shane); her siblings, Darlene Stevens (Nick Gonzales) of Grand Forks, ND, Lori Peterson (Paul) of Grand Forks, ND, Michael Jr. Nikle (Jeannie) of Grand Forks, ND, Ronald Nikle (Sherri Parent-Flaten) of Minto, ND, Oral Nikle (Elaine) of Grand Forks, ND and Danny Nikle of Grand Forks, ND; her aunts, Colleen Varnson and Elizabeth Mesa of Grand Forks; and her goddaughter Emma Johnson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Amundson Funeral Home (1001 S 14th St, Grand Forks, ND 58201). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
