He was predeceased by: his father Richard; his father-in-law Karl Jaster; and his brother-in-law Thomas Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Elli; his son Joseph of Mankato; his mother Norma of Decatur, IL; his brother David of Decatur, IL; his mother-in-law Herta Jaster; and also, Helmut Jaster (Wanda), Erwin Jaster (Laurel), Margaret Hicks and Walter Jaster (Lisa). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Andreas Cancer Center, Mayo Health System Palliative Care Hospice Program, or Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society (BENCHS).
