He is survived by: his wife Geri McMichael; his children, Jason Hammond (Lisa), Jeremy Hammond and Kimberly Hammond; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Hailey, Kaylee, Anna, Elizabeth and Carter; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy McMichael of Eagle Lake, Joe Schabert (Donna), Bob Schabert (Bernie), Tom Schabert (Jane), Pat Gaines (Ron), Wendy Schabert and Pam Schabert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
