He is survived by: his former wives, Betty Schnoor and Brenda Olson; his children, Vonda Schlie (Michael Ramer) of Nicollet, Beth Kleist (Bruce Grunzke) of Mankato, Kandi Hemmingway (Darrel) of St. Peter and Tony Schlie Olson (Elena) of Eagle Lake; his grandchildren, Mitchell Kleist (Heather), Benjamin Kleist (Brianna), Montana Weisgerber, Morgan Weisgerber Hunter Nowak, Emma Nowak, Jordan Schlie Olson, Paityn Schlie Olson and Jersee Hemmingway; his great grandchild Layla Lawton; his great-grandparent Baby Boy Kleist; his close friend Marlys Schulz; and his siblings, Beatrice Johnson of Madison Lake, Beata Kreft (Wynn) of Marshall and Ben Schlie of Janesville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
