He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave Kolstad and Clara Kolstad (Thorpe); his wife Jean Bonniel Kottom; his brothers, Lyle, Leslie and Aldin Kolstad; and his parents-in-law, Melvin and Freedia Kottom.
He is survived by: his children, Tom Kolstad (Sandy) of Verndale, Kim Kohlhase of Bertha, Karen Kohlhase (David, Jr) of Bertha, Steve Kolstad (Jenny) of Henning and Christina Martinson (Steve) of Parkers Prairie; and his brother Roger Kolstad (Ila Mae) of Carthage, MO. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
