She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Martens and Caroline Martens (Sudler); her husband Robert "Bob" Raymond Nelson; her daughter Kleda Kuehne; and her brothers, Karl, Ray and Kenneth Martens.

Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran or Knute Nelson Hospice.
