He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Angela, Jill (Marc) and John (Esta); and his grandchildren, Kipp (Kate), Blake (Sarah), Brita (Henrik), John Patrick (Jaida), Max (Holly), Jessica (Tyler), Carol (Jake) and Conner (Janis). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
