She was predeceased by: her husband Walt. She is survived by: her children, Mary Jean Higgins (Jim), Janet Hansen (Bill) and Alan Petroski (Jill Gray); her grandsons, Jeffrey (Emily) and John Higgins (Libby Johnson); her children, Maureen, Kevin, Ryan and Colin Hansen; and her great grandchildren, Calvin, Cameron, James and Pierce Higgins.

Dorothy cared for Walt through his decline during COVID.

Memorials preferred to the Church of St. Peter in Mendota.
