He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles N. "Tim" and Helen Murphy (Lowe); and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his wife Helen Rowerdink of Strasburg, ND; his sons, Jake Murphy (Stacy) of Eagan, MN and Matthew Murphy (Laura) of Minneapolis; his siblings, Jerry Murphy (Lori) of Grand Forks, Sheila Alm (Darrel) of Duluth, Denise Rydholm of Eden Prairie, MN and Ellen Klym (David) of Cody, WY; his sister-in-law Robin Murphy of Grand Forks; and his grandchildren, Maggie, Kelton and Merritt Murphy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
