He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest A. "Bud" and Mary DeMars (Weingartz); and his siblings, Alan and Jeannette Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Kay Leverington Runge of Eagan; his children, Michelle Scott (Michael), Cheryl Merritt (Jay) of Medford, Scott DeMars (Jinie) of Milpitas, CA, Jason DeMars of LeSueur, Keri Piepho of Medford, Kambria Morris (Hugh) of Albertville, Kendie Stroede (Michael) of Lake Nebagamon, WI and Katrina Weisinger (Kirk) of Wesley Chapel, FL; and his siblings, Barb Duckett of Faribault, Trish Kratt (Chuck) of Oakdale, Bonnie Sassor (Gene) of Afton, Joe DeMars (Evon) of Roanoke, VA, Ernie DeMars (Deb) of Faribault, Peter DeMars of Faribault, Sue Kruger (Val) of Morristown, Terry DeMars (Diane) of Faribault and Jeff Demars (Ellie) of Warsaw. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
