Joyce Fay Skaar Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Fay Skaar of Dundas, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Harpestad and Leona Harpestad (Ehrich). She is survived by: her husband Lee Skaar; her children, Gjert Skaar (Meg) of St. Paul and Kristin Skaar Newbauer (Sam Newbauer) of Minneapolis; her grandchildren, Luka Gleeson, Eleanor Skaar, Nolan Skaar, Kieran Gleeson and Sigvald Newbauer; and her siblings, Judy Harpestad of Wells and Denny Harpestad (Laura) of Minnetonka.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (1321 North Ave, Northfield, MN 55057). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Bethel Lutheran Church's new A/V fund or Rice County Habitat for Humanity.
