He was predeceased by: his mother Laverne Marie Smith (McKenzie); his grandparents, Bernie and Virginia Smith; his siblings, Diane, Donna, Marie McKenzie, Bob and Richard McKenzie; and his aunts and uncles, Darlene Smith, Julia Sherman, Caroline Smith, Sam Smith and Bernie "Mangie" Smith Jr..

He is survived by: his sisters, Linda and Connie McKenzie; his daughters, Sonja and Stephanie Smith; and his stepdaughter Laura Blake. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ball Club Community Center Ball Club Ball Club.
