With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth Bloomquist of Duluth, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruth left this world on January 2, 2025 at the age of 104, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Skoglund and Mamie Skoglund; her husband Harry Bloomquist; her siblings, Lorraine Peterson, Lester and Clifford Skoglund; her daughter Nancy Shamblott; and her son-in-law Stuart Shamblott.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Skorich (George) of Duluth and Chuck "Chas" Bloomquist (Cindy) of Lake Nebagamon, WI; her grandchildren, Jennifer Howard (Jason) of Duluth and Jason Shamblott of Philadelphia; her great grandchild Kayla Skorich (Andrew); and her granddaughters, Lindsey Conito of Duluth and Alyssa Royer of Duluth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Asbury United Methodist Church, Animal Allies of Duluth or the Douglas County Humane Society would be appreciated.
