He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Benson and Dagney Benson (Bredenberg). He is survived by: his wife Pamela Benson; his children, Nicholas Benson, Julie Falcucci (Fred), Laurie Benson and Sara Taylor (Chris); his grandchildren, Tony, Harrison, Annika, Liu, Signe and Imogene; and his siblings, Kurt (Linda), Ted (Susie) and Julie (Tom). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota - Duluth (4100 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN 55807). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers should be sent directly to the funeral home or in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Hospital, which Mickle supported for many years.
