Judith Kaye Mackie Obituary
Judith (Judy) Kaye Mackie passed away on August 8th, 2024 at Franciscan Health Center in Duluth, MN.
Judy was born in Superior, WI on October 6, 1943, She was adopted by Alfred and Myrtle Liberty of Superior Wi.
Judy was a native American and a member of the Bad River tribe of Odana WI.
She was married to her first husband, George (Sonny) Burch and had two sons, John Alfred Burch and Joseph Scott Burch.
Later she married her second husband Henry (Hank) Mackie and had two sons and one daughter, Brian William Mackie, Eric Gregory Mackie, and Arlene Rae Mackie.
Judy enjoyed her time as a homemaker raising her children, later in life when her children had grown, she entered the workforce and worked at the Bridgeview Hotel until she retired. Later in life she enjoyed her personal Bible study and attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
From her five children, Judy had eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, she loved them all and she always made herself available for whatever they needed, making meals for them, volunteering at their schools, or just offering them a safe secure place to be.
Judy always looked forward to summer time, a highlight of every summer was renting a cabin on a lake where she could relax and spend time with her family and enjoy many outdoor activities.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her two eldest sons, two grandsons and a granddaughter.
The family would like to thank all the employees and volunteers at Franciscan Health Center where Judy resided the last two years.
