With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donald Arthur Thompson of Duluth, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Thompson and Mildred Thompson; and his sister Arlene Rapp. He is survived by: his wife Diane Gunderson; his daughters, Cynthia Thompson of Duluth, Christine Masterson (Mark) of Duluth, Deborah Leonard (Daniel) of Duluth and Dayna Schweiger (Steven) of Esko; his grandchildren, Jarrod Leiss, Katie Hassett (Lukas), Matthew Leonard, Jacob Leonard, Chase Hoffman, Abby Hoffman, Madison Hoffman and John Hoffman; his great grandchildren, Maximus Hassett and Kyler Hassett; and his siblings-in-law, Burleigh Rapp, Herman Royseth and Gail Gunderson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home (3208 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
