He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Scherger and Rowena Scherger (Goodrich) of Dodge Center; and his father-in-law Carl Koball. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his children, Kelly Holtz (Adam) and Matthew Scherger; his grandchildren, Lydia Holtz and Luke Holtz; his siblings, Arlen Scherger (Janice), Bernard Scherger (JoAnn) and Lois Walbruch (Robert); his mother-in-law Connie Koball; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Koball (Yolanda), Randy Koball (Robyn) and Brenda Henslin (Gary). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and many more extended family.
