She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Hansen and Anna Hansen (Schoon); her former husband Lyle Hansen of Bismarck, ND; her husband Ed Messerschmidt; and her sisters, Christine and Darlene.
She is survived by: her son Eugene "Chuck" Hansen (Jean); her grandchildren, Chad (Caren) and Kyle (Kami); her great grandchildren, Ty (Liz), Collin, Claire, Cooper and Cassidy; and her siblings, Miles "Butch" (Sharon) and Maryann Nelson (Len).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Dilworth Lutheran Church or Serenity Assisted Living, Dilworth.
