He was predeceased by: his parents, John Malpert and Emma Malpert (Martins); and his siblings, Rudy, Marvin, Herman, Otto Malpert and Adelaide Swanson.
He is survived by: his close friend Mary Schultz of Fessenden; his children, Dr. John III (Marci) of Petersburg, MI, Janell Ness (Todd) of Fargo and Janet Steinberger of Jamestown; and his grandchildren, Zackery, Brooke Steinberger, David and Michael Roach. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
