He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael DeGroat and Laura DeGroat (Bellecourt); his son Keith DeGroat; and his grandparents, Joe and Myrtle Bellecourt.
He is survived by: his former wives, Sharon Blauert and Rita Kunz; his wife Rita DeGroat; his children, Curt DeGroat, Lynette DeGroat, Paulette Viste, Paula Birkeland and Candace Damio; his stepchildren, Chris Kunz, Nick Heimark, Melissa Heimark and Jena Carkhuff (Danny); and his siblings, Shirley Manning (Mel), Doll Blauert (Marvin), Donna Krause and Jim DeGroat (Darlene). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
