With solemn reverence, we commemorate Thomas Victor Augustin of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, whose life came to an end on April 4, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban Augustin and Rita Augustin (Hauser); and his brother Bill Augustin. He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Eigen; his daughters, Sarah Pegors (Eric) of Fargo, ND, Paula Augustin of Edina, MN and Pamela Grossinger (Christopher) of Chanhassen, MN; his grandchildren, Marlee, Taylor, Lauren, Cameron, Aubrae and Roman; his siblings, Jim Augustin, Randy Augustin (Jill), Richard Augustin (Beth), Marvin Augustin (Jill), Annette Krumrie (Jerry) and Sue Leach (Curt); and his sister-in-law Mary Augustin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A prayer was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Kjos Funeral Home Cremation Services (900 Summit Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A Mass was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1043 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley or the Detroit Lakes Laker Wrestling Program.
