He was predeceased by: his parents, John Heisserer (Jack) and Joyce Heisserer. He is survived by: his wife Holly Plautz; his children, Nick (Kassie) and Amanda; his grandchildren, Myla and Finnley; his brothers, Michael (Georgia), Stephen (Marcia) and David (Valery); and his mother-in-law Joyce Plautz. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Kjos Funeral Home Cremation Services (900 Summit Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (912 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
