She was predeceased by: her parents, Nikolai Nelson and Carrie Nelson (Stuhaug); her husband Carlton Melting; her son Terry; her siblings, Oscar (Hilda), Clifford (Lorraine), Garfield (Ruth), Stanley (Helen), Nels "Billy", Kenneth (Darlene), Menda (Conrad), Lilly (Irvin), Myrtle (Charles), Mable (Howard) and Delores (Bob); and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth, Susann Ramstad-Triepke (Jerome) of Fargo, ND, Stewart (Tom) of Dilworth, MN, Cynthia Ess of Detroit Lakes, MN, Katharine Austin of Eau Claire, WI, Laurie Anderson (Ted) of Audubon, MN and Barbara Aasland (David) of Becida, MN. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
