He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Olson and Thelma Olson (Alga); his grandparents, Thea and Edward Alga; his brother Dennis; and his siblings-in-law, Annette Loewen, Lois Heck, Marlys Loewen and Arnold Loewen.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Loewen; his children, Norman (Kris), Nathan (Amy) and Nadine Harris (Edward); his grandchildren, Ein Harris (Lauren), Steven, Michael Olson (Sam), Shane Olson (Jenna), Collin Harris (Sadie), Macey and Nickolas Olson; his great grandchild Lola; his sister Becky Tande (Marlyn); and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Loewen and Audrey Doyle (Skip). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
