He is survived by: his children, John Ries (Catherine) of Shoreview, William Ries (Julie) of Detroit Lakes, Susan Ristvedt (Wayne) of Alexandria, Catherine Seaberg (Russell) of Detroit Lakes and Julie Pearson of Alexandria; and his sisters, Lavonne Grussendorf, Mardell Stueber of New Ulm and Sharon Johnson of Fairmont. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
