He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Sr. Knapper. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Knapper (Goble); his wife Pamela Hannestad of Breckenridge; his children, Danae Knapper (Matt Vatsaas) of Moorhead, MN and Derek Knapper (Alison) of Moorhead, MN; his brothers, Jim Knapper (Lindy) of Ottertail City, MN, Tom Knapper (Deb) of Dilworth, MN and Mark Knapper (Lisa) of Dilworth, MN; his niece Jessica; and his nephews, Jared, Heath and David.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Cares for Cancer, P.O. Box 124, Hankinson, ND, 58041.
