He was predeceased by: his wife Alma; his son Roy; and his siblings, Francis, Robert and Jackie.

He is survived by: his children, Julie Tonsager (Tod) of Randall, MN, Ruth Rizzi (Bob) of Nevis, MN, Dale Dobias (Toni) of St. Hilaire, MN and Wendi Dobias-Osborn of Solway, MN; and his brother David Dobias (P. J.). He is also survived by numerous grandkids and great grandkids.
