It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Clare Casey (Detroit Lakes, Minnesota), who passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Johnstad and Minnie "Jean" Jeanette Johnstad. She is survived by: her husband Matt Casey; and her daughters, Lynn Olson (Keith), Lori Nustad (Andy), Lisa Nelson (David), Debra Casey and Dana Casey (Patrick). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A prayer will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the David-Donehower Funeral & Cremation Service (609 US-10, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Congregational United Church of Christ (900 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Congregational United Church of Christ of Detroit Lakes Foundation or your local human rights nonprofit organization.
