With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene Reynolds of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, who passed away on January 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Hemmerich and Helen Hemmerich (Parks); her husband Charles Reynolds; her brothers, Leonard and Gordon Hemmerich; and her sisters-in-law, Jeannine Hemmerich, Nancy Reynolds and Judy Reynolds.
She is survived by: her children, David Reynolds (Jody) of Rogers, MN and Katherine Thielen of Maple Grove, MN; her grandchildren, Rachel Thielen of Scottsdale, AZ, Gloria Reynolds of Minneapolis, MN, Alexander Thielen of Chaska, MN, Elijah Reynolds of Monticello, MN and Morgan Thielen of Phoenix, AZ.; her brother Earl Hemmerich of Nisswa, MN; her siblings-in-law, Wayne Reynolds of Clearwater, MN, Kenny Reynolds of Glenwood Springs, CO, Judy Phillips (Charlie) of Nevis, MN and Linda Remiger (Rich) of Apple Valley, MN; and her friends, Brad Ice (Kristi) of Wadena, MN and Roy Smith of Detroit Lakes, MN..
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the David-Donehower Funeral Home (609 US-10, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (1100 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church of Detroit Lakes or the Cancer Care Fund of the Essentia Health–St. Mary's Detroit Lakes Foundation.
