Lois Orner Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Orner of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 24, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Glawe and Marion Glawe (Sunbury); and her grandson Calvin Orner. She is survived by: her significant other Elwood; her caregiver Elwood; her children, Deborah Janzen (Richard) of Detroit Lakes, Edward Orner (Heidi) of Detroit Lakes, Karen Mitchell (Todd) of Detroit Lakes and Kevin Orner (Marsha) of Detroit Lakes; her grandchildren, Janelle Damalachervu (Yoga), Jacob Conway (Adrianna), David Orner (Michaela), Sarah Perrone (Jason), Heidi Wheeler (Zach), Hillary Buschette (Matt), Hannah Kerns (Cameron), Hope and Hailey; her great grandchildren, Ezekiel, Elias, Taylor, Kailynne and Sarah; and her siblings, Marjorie Carasetti (late Raymond), Marcia Thompson (Fred) and Charles Glawe (Karen-Ann). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family to establish a wildlife and nature preserve near Lois' home.
