Lillian Shafer Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2021, at the age of 88, Lillian Shafer of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Grafton, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her siblings, Alexander, Beverly Schmidt (Leo), Gerald, Ray, Ronald and Warren LeClerc; her sisters-in-law, Myrna LeClerc and Luella LeClerc; her brother Richard; and her sister-in-law Helen Shafer.

She is survived by: her sister Mae LeClerc (Schumacher); her husband Gordon Shafer; her children, Wade Shafer (Kathy), Brenda Shafer, Dawn Forbes (Mike), Shannon Maixner (Robert) and Dixie Shafer (Jerald Dosch); her grandchildren, Sadie, Samantha, Aaron, Alec, Lillian, Finna, Aidan, Kaia, Lucy, Christian, Tony, Mike, Jake and Kristi; her siblings, Dale LeClerc (Betsy) and Rosalie Ringstrom (James); and her sisters-in-law, Judy LeClerc, Collette LeClerc and Carol Rohr (Art). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to thank Sue Mayfield, Deb Smith, and Alicia Chilton for their loving care and support of Lillian and her family as she battled Alzheimer's.
