We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2024, at the age of 88, LaVaun Carrie Groth of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Perham, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Henderson and Alice Henderson (Tillmann); her former husband Roger Groth; her husband James Childs; her brother Bill; and her siblings-in-law, Eileen Henderson and A. H. Oberg.
She is survived by: her children, Jayne Oachs (Mark) of Herman, MN, Dick Groth (Barb) of Detroit Lakes, MN and Donn Groth (Michelle) of Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Jennifer Pederson (Lane), Matthew Oachs (Heather), Tyler Groth, Nick Groth (Ashley), Alek Groth, Haley Johnson (Mel) and Emily Groth; her great grandchildren, Brady Pederson, Jennaya Pederson, Brooklyn Oachs and Asher Oachs; her sister Luella Oberg of Cardiff; and her brother-in-law Graham Groth (Iloise). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Callaway, MN.
