He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Utecht and Jeane Utecht (Desmond); and his brothers, Ken Utecht Jr. and Michael Utecht. He is survived by: his children, Patrick (Kathy) and Mayleigh (Otho); his grandchildren, Conner, Miles, Jeremiah and Serayah; his siblings, Sue Lorentz, Fran Herauf (Leroy), Ann Johnson (Mike), Peter and James; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Utecht and Cheryl Utecht. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
