It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph N. Spaeth of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Fargo, North Dakota, who passed away on May 8, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Spaeth and Lillie Spaeth (Blaeser); his wife Dee; and his siblings, Gladys Bratner (Jim), Ginny Rumreich (Toby), Theresa Pearson (Bob), Doris Danielson (Bob), Warren, Kenneth, Harold (Dot), Marlo, Pat, Sonny (Altha), Jerome (Betty) and George.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Zimmel (Allen) of Mahnomen, Mary Wiemer (Dave) of Sartell, MN and JoAnn Doty (David) of Waubun; his siblings, John "Jack" Spaeth (Cheryl) of Las Vegas, NV and Marlys Conlon (Curtis) of Kimball, MI; and his sisters-in-law, Bobbie Spaeth of St. Michael, MN, Sherrill Spaeth of Fridley, MN and Sharon Spaeth of Mahnomen. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael's School, or a charity of your choice.
