With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jon Kumpula of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Wadena, Minnesota, who passed away on February 4, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Kumpula and Arles Kumpula (Rasmussen); and his parents-in-law, Henry and Fern Schrupp. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Schrupp; his sons, David Husby (Kristi) and Marty Kumpula (Amanda); his grandson Jacob; his siblings, Karen Davis (Eugene), Kayleen Oppegard (Roger), Joel Kumpula (Ginger), Jim Kumpula, Karolyn Covart (Dan) and Mark Kumpula; and his brother-in-law Tom Schrupp (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
