She was predeceased by: her parents, Albin Nelson and Minda Nelson (Evenson); her husband Lauren Marxen; her siblings, Roger Nelson, Evangeline Ekdahl (Vange) and Eunice Leroy-Lesmeister; her brothers-in-law, John Ekdahl Jr. and Jim Elroy; her brother Donald Nelson; her siblings-in-law, Rudolph Flake and Verma Flake; and her niece Jeannie Flake.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Marxen (Glenice) of Detroit Lakes, Larry Marxen (Julie) of Fargo, ND and Cheryl Grossman (Richard) of Detroit Lakes; her grandchildren, Jennifer French (Loren), Carlee Diby (Martial), Cris Marxen (Wendy McPherson), Nick Marxen, Michelle Bischof (Stefan), Rich Grossman (Rachel LaForce) and Katelyn Grossman (Lucas Burnside); and her sister-in-law Alice Nelson. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
