He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clarence Olson, Laverne Olson, Vernon Sr. and Elzada Brogren (Fagerlie); his great-grandparents, Odin, Augusta Olson, Erwin, Elsie Wothe (Tessman), Elmer, Mabel Brogren (Smith), Oscar and Margareth Fagerlie (Valtinson); and his great-uncle Gordon Wothe.
He is survived by: his parents, Darrell Olson and Vernette Olson (Brogren); his brother Justin Olson (Missy); his nieces and nephews, Alex Olson (Paige), William Olson, Stetson Olson, Carli Olson, Elizabeth Olson and Rice Olson; his great-nephew Wren Olson; his uncles, Larry Olson (Laurie), Jim Brogren (Mary Ann), Vernon Jr. "Butch" Brogren (Karla), Jerry Brogren (late Toni) and Scott Olson (Cheryl); his aunt Laurie Olson; his cousins, Jason, Corey, Kristi Brogren, Ross and Ryan Olson; and his caregiver Jody.
