It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Louise Engen of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Yankton, South Dakota, who passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Noble White and Mildred White (Olson); her husband Donald Engen; her sons, Richard Engen and Jon Engen; and her siblings, Phyllis Freng, Charles "Bud" White and William "Bill" White.
She is survived by: her daughter Denise Lyngaas of Detroit Lakes, MN; her grandchildren, Bennett Strege (Kelli) of Fargo, ND, Jackson Lyngaas (Jess) of Hawley, MN, Trey Lyngaas of Detroit Lakes, MN and Molly Lyngaas of LaCrosse, WI; her great grandchild Asher Strege; and her siblings, Jim White of Parker, SD, Wanda Freng (Larry) of Sioux Falls, SD and Gwendy Sorensen (Rick) of Apple Valley, MN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
