He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Runger and Helen Runger (Clark). He is survived by: his wife Kathryn (Sundvall); his son Thomas Runger (Corrie) of Hawley; his grandsons, Braden and Jacob of West Fargo; his sister Ramona Amundson (Dale); his niece Sue Luepp (Mitch) of Surrey, ND; his nephew Mike Amundson (Karen) of Fargo; and his children, Tammy Holthaus (Kevin) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Carter (Kendra), Caden, Teri Hansen (Jeremy) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Thomes, Jacob, Kendall, Mindy Gillen (Eric) of St. Michael, MN, Anthony and Tyler. He is also survived by many friends and large extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1043 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
