With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Mott (Detroit Lakes, Minnesota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 10, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mott and Selma Mott; his siblings, Curtis, Norris, Darald, Rodney Mott, Ruby and Elaine; and his foster brother Doug Sletmoen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Mott; his son Jason (Rebecca); his grandsons, Henry and Levi; and his siblings, David Mott (Jean) and Fern Graff. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the David-Donehower Funeral & Cremation Service (609 US-10, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (515 US-59, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
