He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Rislund and Mabel Rislund (Olson); his wife Hattie (Olander); his children, Miles Rislund and Jeanne Houdek; his brother Curt Rislund; and his brother-in-law Lindy Olander.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Rislund (Paulette), CindyLu Merrill (Kenley) and Sherri Houdek (Ed); his grandchildren, Bryan Rislund (Julie), Chad Rislund (Jenni), Adam Rislund (Lisa), Kate Werner (Shaun), Tiffany Blackwell (Tad), Tammy Melland (Jimmy), Shawn Merrill (Bekka), Jaime Kordonowy and Jeff Houdek (Caroline); his siblings, Durland Rislund (Shirley), Larry Rislund (Rita) and Marlene Rislund; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Rislund and Carol Olander. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
