It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene Sturgeon formerly of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Frazee, Minnesota, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fredrick Sunram and Mathilda Sunram; her sisters, Lorna Amdal, Sadie Steuart and Ruth Jenkinson of Fargo; her children, John Sturgeon, British Isles, Ruth Krise of Akron and William Sturgeon of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Eric of Norwich, Dennis Sturgeon of Norwich, England, Stephanie Krise (Sayer) of Cleveland and Jenelle Gruesen (Krise) of North Canton; and her great grandchildren, William and Noah Gruesen. She was also cherished by numerous nephews and nieces.
