He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry M. Gjersvig and Lois M. Gjersvig (Cook); his wife Vicki Schmidt; his grandchildren, Samuel Gjersvig, Matthew Cooper and Grace Cooper; his siblings, Bonnie Vastag (Harold) of Hobart, WI, Wayne Gjersvig (Karen) of Baraboo, WI, Allen Gjersvig (Bev) of Mesa, AZ, Karen Stenberg (Gary) of Detroit Lakes, MN and Thomas Gjersvig (Leita) of Mankato, MN; and his grandparents, Malina and Haakon Gjersvig.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given in honor of Harold to Bakke Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
