It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Duane Baun of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Norwalk, Ohio, who passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Baun and Marie Baun (Justi); and also, Norman Sponheim and Rev. David Bartlett. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sponheim; his children, Seth (Kelly) and Sarah; his grandchildren, Kadence, McKinsey of Colorado Springs, CO and Sarah Strehlow (Daniel) of Irvine, CA; his brothers, Keith (Melinda) and Craig (Beth); and also, Mildred Sponheim, Ann Fisher (Jeff), Mary Grey (Bob), Don (Karen) and Dean (Lucinda). He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces and nephews; many relatives and friends.
The family requests memorials be given in Pastor Bogie's memory to The Cottage at Ecumen in Detroit Lakes, Hospice of the Red River Valley in Detroit Lakes, the American Diabetes Association, or the Alzheimer's Association.
