He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Barnard and Margaret Barnard (Bogenrief); his former wife Leona Koval; his wife Ruth Kusserow; his children, Connie, Diane and David; his stepson Ralph; his grandson Tony; and his siblings, Ray, Opal, Lyle, Norman, Peggy, Chester, Margaret, Duane and Marilou.
He is survived by: his brother Gene; and his children, Eileen Pearson, Tim Barnard, Don Barnard, Val Voigt (Jim), Terry Kusserow (Alegria) and Deb Prader (Curt). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
