He is survived by: his wife Susan Santos; his son Michael Stenhjem (Jodi Zacher); his granddaughter Tilly; his sisters, Karen Blum (Fred) of Detroit Lakes, Diane Haugen (Kent) of Winnipeg, Nancy Hofstrand of Lake Park, Janet Ward (Jim) of Detroit Lakes and Tracy Stenhjem of Fargo; his nephew Eric Haugen of West Fargo; his niece Kari Thorson (John) of Arthur; his great-niece Medora Thorson; and also Aubrianna of Detroit Lakes. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
