David Kaldahl Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Kaldahl of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, who passed away on November 27, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Kaldahl to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Kaldahl and Helen Kaldahl; his stepmothers, Mildred and Ruby; his wife Barbara; and his sister Suzanne.

He is survived by: his children, Steve Kaldahl, Beth Schupp (Daniel), Lisa Kaldahl and Dan Kaldahl (Annette); his grandchildren, Emily Meyers (Patrick), Charles Schupp (Anna), Margaret Schupp, Marianna Goetz (Jordan), Carolyn Disse (Max), Andrew Schupp, Maria Kaldahl and Miles Kaldahl; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Burd, Twila Lovas and Lou Ann Burd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

When covid shut down all group activities, Dave re-designed his singalong into a "Hallway Hootenanny" so residents could sit in their doorways and sing with him.
