It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Rae Hovland of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on June 14, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Blaner (Don) and Scott Bednarz; her sisters, Mary Brandt (Alan) and Janet Akerlind (Kevin); her grandchildren, Nicholas Schmitz and Cassidy Schmitz (Conner); her niece Lisa Brandt; and her godson Greg Brandt. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Sanford Hospice House in Fargo or the National Cancer Society.
