With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billie Jo Holmer (Detroit Lakes, Minnesota), who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Fairbanks and Sandra Warren Kier; her daughters, Allison [Riley] Olson, Ashley [Collin Wurst] Holmer and Kayla Holmer; her siblings, Samantha Mortenson of Waubun, Scott, Wesley Warren of Mahnomen, Preston Kier of Ogema and Bruce Mortenson of Waverly; her stepfather Bruce Mortenson of Waubun; her boyfriend James Kohler; and her stepsons, Michael Hayes and James Kohler Jr..
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the David-Donehower Funeral & Cremation Service (609 US-10, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (515 US-59, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
